CENTRE/FACILITIES  REPORT- Julie Coffey

Ongoing issues – Shire (Kevin O’Reilly) still working on fire fighting solutions;  Public Liability insurance still under consideration; solar or heat pump hot water.

-     Water situation upstairs was okay for Charlton home game and has been okay for training teas but lost water upstairs again for Wyche home match.  Tony Collins home this week, surely half way there with his problem solving on the matter to date, he was awaiting a part, so will get onto him as soon as ‘lands’ in Birchip.

-     Pete investigating cost of electric heaters above bar with Brad Ryan

-     Still awaiting Liquor Licensing applications official approval.  Phone call today, again told application yet to be approved by the Director and then to be processed.  No indication given of expected time this would take.

-     Plumbing problems with exterior toilets and ladies upstairs toilets fixed by Gordon Bell.  Met with Kevin O’Reilly about a broken lock on a door, repainting around new exit signs inside, golf urinal replacement ( next years budget),  laying crushed rock from road to north toilets  and tecking down shed roof (shire carpenter wont get on roof) .    Old toilet block at main gate entrance won’t be demolished as it has a mains power supply set up in it.  It will be fully secured so no one can get in.

Agreed we need to prioritize Tony as the plumber to continue works to fix the water problems.

Moved       Bryan Hogan                                                  Seconded        Bernadette Hogan

“that Shire be formally requested to lay crushed rock from road to entrance of north toilet block male and female entry”.                                                                               Carried

Moved       F. Best                                                            Seconded        Bernadette Hogan

“that Shire be requested to tidy up the gate toilet block so it is not such an eyesore and request consideration of a new small power shed to replace”.                               Carried

Cash register had a drink spilled into it’s mechanism, sent away for repair and deemed unfixable.  Need to replace.   Swan Hill company recommending Sharp fully programmed for $980.

Moved       F. Best                                                                        Seconded        Bernadette Hogan

“that Tara organise the best option for replacement of cash register, purchase or lease”.

                                                                                                                        Carried

WATER REPORT – BRYAN HOGAN

Big holding dam at approximately 45%, nice run in off the last lot of rains.  Golf dam at about 10%.  Machine works on the channel didn’t happen before it rained, so more time on the shovel was spent blocking holes.

Meters have been installed by the Shire at some sites.

Likely that we will need to in the future install a 200,000 litre tank on the golf course near the Sunraysia Highway where the pipeline tapping is, in order to be able to gain pipeline water for sporting fields when recycle not available.
